About Relational Portfolios & RapidWeaver

This new model for the Ball State teacher education program is being implemented as a partnership between the Portfolio Lab and the CTE iStudio. Frontline training and support is lead by the Portfolio Lab using a portfolio model developed in the CTE and digital media developed in the iStudio. Together, both groups work under the leadership of the Office of the Dean and in close consultation with teacher education faculty.

For more information about the Relational Portfolio Model (RPM), including additional resources and academic opportunities, visit the CTE RPM site at www.bsu.edu/cte/rpm/

The portfolio lab and its web site is the first point of contact for training and support. The CTE iStudio provides back-end support for this initiative. The iStudio is the campus support site for RapidWeaver and will continue to provide advanced resources and training for RapidWeaver.

Relational portfolios...
The Relational Portfolio Model (RPM) model builds upon the reflective model for developmental portfolios and extends it to a relational model that uses Web 2.0 techniques and systems as the student's organizing platform for artifacts and rationales. RPM supports a longitudinal, developmental, multimedia portfolio experience in teacher education or any academic or professional program.
